On March 1st, coinciding with the thirteenth day of the first lunar month, the Barcelona branch of Hai Hui Shan resounded with the melodious chanting of sutras as it solemnly held a Buddhist offering ceremony to honor the Buddha and the celestial beings, praying for blessings. The assembly of monks and lay devotees offered fragrant flowers and exquisite offerings with sincere devotion to the Buddha and nature as well as all spirits of the world, collectively praying for world peace and national prosperity and people’s well-being.
Following this solemn and auspicious gathering, the sacred Refuge Ceremony was conducted. A group of devotees formally took refuge in the Buddhist teaching, embarking on a path of awakening.
As the ceremony concluded, Venerable Ren Shan compassionately imparted teachings to the assembly and extended New Year blessings.
